Hout De Groote company is located in Lokeren, 15 km from Ghent port and
approximately 35 km from Brussels, in the very heart of Europe. It is the
fourth generation company currently is headed by Johan De Groote
whose goal is to expand the company while keeping the highest level
possible of products and services provided to its clients. “We plan to
maintain our family spirit and values while serving our clients and
successfully working with our partners in Europe, Africa, USA and Canada.
The main market for spruce, pine and larch wood is definitely Russia and
Siberia. Hout De Groote has been working on Russian market for the past
ten years and in the nearest future the company plans to expand its
business cooperation with Russian producers of wood.”
Hout de Groote also sells Siberian larch, Frech oak, exotic wood from
Africa, Malasia, Indonesia.
The company has own drying rooms and plaining mill to provide wide
range of services to its clients.
The company has own warehouse facilities and well as own transport to
implement shipments of materials to the neighboring countries
The company also plays a significant role in the social life of Lokeren city.
One of the company’s projects –
support of the charity Fund called Kinderkankerfond.
This fund helps children with leukemia and their families.
Hout de Groote acted as a sponsor for the fund trip to Russia in 2005.
